Hello fellow nature appreciator!
Join me on a walk as I share the historical uses of wild species for food, medicine, and materials. I will also discuss plant ID, natural history, and ecology.
Try to find a species I can’t ID! I have experience as an entomologist and ecologist as well as in flintknapping and primitive skills, so nothing about nature is off-limits in this walk.
Attendance will be limited to 15 people in order to take individual questions the whole time.
It will take around 2 to 2.5 hours. The trail is easy to moderate intensity and we will be stopping a lot to look at plants.
Digital recording is fine! I will email attendees a follow-up custom local foraging guide listing the species discussed and their Native uses, so you can also soak in the experience without needing intensive notes.
Location: central Austin. Attendees will be emailed with the exact location a week before the event. If you sign up last-minute, I will email you the location after you book a ticket.
Date / Time: Saturday, March 30th, 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM.
Payment: credit cards are accepted below. For other forms of payment, please contact me.
Please email any questions or requests to paleoforaging@gmail.com.
Hope to see you there! – Cyrus
