Description
I compiled the localities of all tribes in Texas from many sources into this custom map that may be the most comprehensive single map of its kind. Note that there are variations in spellings of tribe names and these are generally exonyms, or not the names the tribe uses for itself, but the name that is more widely known by others. The base map is a 1946 satellite photo, upon which I traced the major river systems. The information comes from these sources:
