Food

Aboveground parts – excellent potherb or greens eaten by western Indians (Ebeling 1986:42).

Experimentation

I have eaten the aboveground parts and foliage as greens many times. It is common in my area and excellent fresh, crisp, and raw. It has a mild, sweetish taste.
